I’m Michael Greer, a researcher focusing on digital fabrication, motion control, and computational geometry. Current modes of production focus on expansive manufacturing runs to offset costly tooling costs, all to produce objects that are targeted at a broad audience and may not be tailored to any single person. I explore the ways in which digital fabrication and design automation may allow us to produce personalized products in a cost-effective manner while reducing waste by decreasing batch sizes into single units.
